A lot of bloggers write and ask, “How do I write a pitch letter?” “How can I pitch a brand?” I’d love to be on a major blog but how do I do that?” Can I share something with you? I’m up for two major opportunities right now. Time will tell what happens with either one. But I can tell you that at times it was very scary to say the least. I had moments of self-doubt, anxiety, lots of anxiety, and I have to say I was even emotional. But I pressed through. That’s why I am always writing to you guys and telling you things like, “I know you can do it.” ” I believe in you.”  It comes from my heart because sometimes all it takes is one word to change a mindset. Which brings me to my title. You can’t pitch a brand if you don’t believe in yourself.

If you are writing a blogger, a company or a brand, and you write from an apologetic point of view that won’t get you the deal. You can’t write saying,”I love your product, not sure if I’m what you are looking for but” No!  You say, “Hey Yo Mr Company Woman /Man I’m the hottest blogger on the block and you really need me to toot your horn about your goods.” OK you understand I never speak like that to a company. I was being a little funny there, but the idea is that you come packing confidence.

I know it’s not always easy to be bold. Especially in the face of insecurities or self-doubt. But sometimes the only way to get to the other side is to go through the storm. So no matter what challenges face you today I want you to tell yourself that you can do it! I have so many projects happening right now I feel like an octopus. I just started a new blogging community- OH Yes I did if you haven’t seen it yet then here you go: Blogs To Riches Club. I’m still working on my baby product, and a few other surprises you don’t even know yet. Many times I’m not sure. But I do it anyway. And You can too. So pith proud and pitch loud and be bold. I know you can do it.

Listen- I want you to please tell me one thing in the comment section below that you know you really need to stop fearing and just press through. And then I want you to do it!

  1. Lisa,
Thank you so much for sharing. I definitely need to get a bit more gutsy!! Have you ever pitched big ideas with multiple sponsors? I know I need to take baby steps and get more established, but I have a couple of “dream” projects that I am struggling to figure out all the pieces for putting together a larger deal.

Thank you So much for the Blog to Riches Club! I am working right now to figure out how to join in on the fun :)

  2. Great post and very true. You need to come across as being exactly what they are looking for and confident. I hope the two things pay off for you.
